Federal Government has directed officers on Grade Level 14 and above and those on essential services to resume work from Monday, May 4, 2020.
In a circular issued by Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Folashade Yemi-Esan, on Thursday, she said the directive was as a result of President Muhammadu Buhari’s broadcast on a phased and gradual easing of the lockdown measures put in place to curtail the spread of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.
The President had directed that the lockdown measures be gradually eased in Lagos, Ogun and the FCT, from Monday.
Mrs Yemi-Esan said offices are to open three times a week and close at 2.00pm on each day while asking the concerned officers to adhere to COVID-19 preventive measures.
“Further to Mr. President’s broadcast on a phased and gradual easing of the lockdown measures occasioned by COVID-19, officers on GL 14 and above and those on essential services are hereby directed to resume work with effect from Monday 4th May, 2020 in the first instance,” she said.
“Offices are to open three times a week – Monday, Wednesday and Friday – and close at 2.00pm on each day.
“In resuming, the concerned officers are to ensure full compliance with the directives and advice on the COVID-19 pandemic preventing measures including maintenance of social distancing, regular washing and/or sanitizing of hands and wearing of face masks.
