It was a joyous moment as Fourteen of the abducted Greenfield University students, Kaduna State regain freedom on Sunday.

Greenfield University students regained their freedom after spending over a month in the kidnappers den.

The State Police Spokesman, Mohammed Jagile confirmed the release and stated that 3 of the students are still in captivity.

The Special Assistant to the State Governor on media, Abdallah Abdallah also confirmed this but did not give details of the release.

On 20 April 2020, some unknown gunmen invaded Greenfield University and abducted 21 students from the institution.

Few days later, the abductors demanded for N800 million to release the students.

Daily Dates Nigeria gathered that the kidnappers killed 5 of the students few days later and brought down their demands to N20 million.
