Ondo state command of the southwest security network code-named Amotekun has rescued the remaining three (3) travelers abducted by some bandits in the state on Wednesday.

According to Amotekun, the remaining three (3) travelers were rescued on Friday evening, Daily Dates Nigeria reports.

The passengers were heading from Abuja to Lagos in an 18 seater bus, when the armed men struck between Idoani Ifira axis of the state.


The Amotekun operative had earlier rescued nine(9) of the twelve (12) victims kidnaped in the bus on Wednesday, after a swift response to distress calls by concerned citizens.

While confirming this development, the Commander of Amotekun in the state, Chief Adetunji Adeleye said the victims would be released to reunited with their family members on Saturday.

“I can confirm to you that we have  rescued the three remaining victims and they will be released to reunited with their families today,” Adeleye said.
