Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chukwuma Soludo, has won the Anambra governorship election.

Soludo was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday morning, Daily Dates Nigeria reports.


The returning officer for the state, Florence Obi, said Soludo, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), garnered total votes of 112,229  to defeat other contestants.

“Charles Chukwuma Soludo of APGA, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected,” Obi said.
