A former Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu is dead.
Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, the first civilian governor of Abia State died after a brief illness in a hospital in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Onu was among the aspirants that sought the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He served as minister under the immediate past administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He was born on 1 December 1951.
