The Channels TV reporter for Rivers State, Joshua Rogers, kidnapped in Port Harcourt by unidentified gunmen has regained his freedom.
Some of the employees of the company confirmed the release of Rogers on Friday night saying he had been reunited with his family.
Reports say the state Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, was instrumental to the freedom of the reporter.
Rogers was reportedly whisked away to an unknown place by the gunmen at about 9pm on Thursday in front of his residence at Rumuosi in Port Harcourt.
The reporter was driving his official Channels Television branded car when the hoodlums accosted him, pointed a gun at him and took him away in the same vehicle.
